마이크로소프트(MS)가 검색엔진, 클라우드 서비스, 오피스 툴에 이어 메타버스 플랫폼 '메쉬(Mesh)'에도 챗GPT 기술을 도입할 것으로 보인다.
문종훈 마이크로소프트 혼합현실(Mixed Reality·MR) 테크니컬 스페셜 리스트는 22일 서울 서초구 aT센터에서 열린 KCIM 메타버스 컨퍼런스에서 "마이크로소프트는 실사 메타버스를 구메타버스현 또는 실현하기 위한 기술 스택을 모두 보유하고 있으며, 특히 마이크로소프트 메쉬가 핵심적인 메타버스 엔진으로 역할을 하게 될 것으로 기대하고 있다"며 "최근 챗GPT가 이슈인데, (마이크로소프트 메쉬에서는) 챗봇과 같은 형태가 아닌 영화에 등장하는 것처럼 인공지능이 더해진 아바타가 나의 작업을 도와줄 수 있는 형태로도 활용할 수 있다"고 전했다.

FT·메타버스 전문 트레져랩스가 22일 M2E(Move-To-Earn) 아바타를 탑재한 메타버스 플랫폼 ‘파라리움’을 5월 베타 버전으로 모바일 출시한다고 전했다.
